Barau Jibrin Donates N100M to Kano Fire Victims

On a recent visit to the Singer Market in Fagge Local Government Area, Kano State, Barau Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Senate, extended his sympathies to victims of a devastating fire that destroyed goods and properties valued at N5 billion. During this visit, he met with the market chairman, Alhaji Junaidu Zakari, and thousands of affected traders, announcing a donation of N100 million to help cushion the effects of the inferno.

Jibrin expressed deep sorrow over the incident, emphasizing its impact not only on the traders but on the entire Kano community and the nation at large. He noted the significant loss recorded and pledged to facilitate the provision of modern fire control facilities for the market.

Alhaji Junaidu Zakari highlighted that the market had suffered two major fire outbreaks recently. The visit was also attended by Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Malam Salisu Sagir Takai, a member of the Kano State House of Assembly.
