MC Oluomo Stands Firm as NURTW National President

Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has declared that he remains the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). This statement follows reports that Tajudeen Baruwa has taken control of the union's national secretariat, citing a court ruling that allegedly favors his leadership.

MC Oluomo made this declaration on Monday, emphasizing that he is not contesting the court judgment that Baruwa referenced, as it is already being challenged in court. He clarified that the matter is still under judicial review and that security agencies are managing the situation.

The leadership crisis within NURTW has been ongoing for two years, exacerbated by a recent incident where Baruwa's faction was seen in a viral video taking control of the secretariat and removing portraits of MC Oluomo. Despite the turmoil, MC Oluomo continues to hold his position and maintain presence at the union's national secretariat.
