Bauchi Assembly Member Hon. Wanzam Passes Away

Hon. Mohammad Wanzam, a member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly representing the Sakwa constituency, died in the early hours of Sunday. The announcement was made by Speaker Abubakar Sulaiman, who expressed deep sorrow in a statement issued by spokesman Mukhtar Garba Kobi.

Sulaiman described Wanzam as a dedicated public servant who served his constituency and the state with distinction. The funeral prayer for the deceased was held on Sunday at Gwallaga Juma Mosque in Bauchi.

In a condolence message, Governor Bala Mohammed characterized Wanzam as a humble leader and a committed public servant whose life was marked by simplicity and dedication to the welfare of his constituents. The governor noted Wanzam's distinguished role as chairman of the House Committee on Budget Appropriations and commended his contributions to policies aimed at improving the lives of the people.

The governor expressed that Wanzam's death is a great loss to both his family and the entire Bauchi State.
