Bauchi State Enhances Patrol Team with Motorcycles

The Bauchi State Government has strengthened its Special Patrol Team by commissioning the provision of motorcycles to enhance security measures aimed at combating crime. This initiative was disclosed by retired DIG Sani Usman Muhammed during a presentation of the motorcycles to the patrol team in Bauchi Metropolitan.

The move follows the approval of Governor Bala Mohammed, in response to growing concerns regarding the activities of miscreants and cult groups that threaten peace and safety in the state. The support is seen as a positive development to address the unchecked deviant behavior among youth, which has led to a gradual escalation of serious criminal activities affecting communities.

Sani Usman expressed confidence that the deployment of motorcycles would improve surveillance and strengthen rapid response operations, supporting ongoing efforts to maintain law and order across Bauchi State. The Special Patrol Team consists of vigilant members operating alongside youth empowerment agencies and volunteer peace reconciliation committees, under the supervision of ministry officials.
