Bauchi Couple Welcomes Triplets, Faces Financial Worries

Sa’idu Aliyu, a 27-year-old farmer from Bara community in Kirfi Local Government Area, Bauchi State, welcomed triplets on Tuesday, increasing his family to six children. Despite his happiness over the birth, Aliyu expressed concerns about the financial burden of raising three newborns alongside his three other children.

He stated that his only source of income is small-scale farming, which he believes is insufficient to support such a large family. His wife, Hafsat Sa’idu, described the triplets as an unexpected but delightful surprise.

Hadiza Abubakar, a volunteer midwife at the Bara Primary Healthcare Centre, confirmed that both the mother and the triplets are healthy. However, she noted the challenges of raising three infants simultaneously and appealed for support from philanthropists to assist the family, who come from a poor background.
