Sokoto First Lady Donates N17 Million to Triplet Mothers

On Saturday, Hajiya Fatima Ahmed Aliyu, the First Lady of Sokoto State, presented N17 million, food items, and baby-care materials to 17 mothers of triplets. This initiative, organized under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, aims to support families in meeting the nutritional and essential needs of their newborns while alleviating the financial burden of caring for multiple births.

Each beneficiary received N1 million, three bags of rice, two bags of millet, 30 sets of baby clothes, large-size diapers, a carton of milk, soap, and 10 sets of guinea brocade. Hajiya Fatima, represented by Hajiya Khadija Ahmad Shagari, emphasized that children are precious gifts and that the birth of triplets should be seen as a blessing.

She urged beneficiaries to use the assistance wisely for the welfare of their children and called on wealthy individuals to support vulnerable members of society. Alhaji Aliyu Ladan Isa, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, commended the First Lady's humanitarian efforts and highlighted the government's commitment to improving the welfare of women and children.
