Bauchi Governor Distributes 156 Vehicles to Traditional Rulers

On a recent occasion, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed distributed 156 vehicles to traditional rulers, including 14 GMC SUVs, 14 utility vehicles, 14 buses, and 114 Toyota Camry cars. This initiative aims to enhance the traditional rulers' functions and their engagement with the community.

During the presentation at the Government House in Bauchi, the governor emphasized the importance of traditional rulers as custodians of values and their role in maintaining peace and order. He cautioned against their involvement in partisan politics and stressed the need for effective leadership.

Additionally, Governor Mohammed disclosed plans for the construction of a new palace for the newly established emirate chiefdom, with a promise to complete the project by the end of his tenure. He also mentioned a review of the welfare package for traditional rulers, noting that previous provisions did not reflect their responsibilities adequately.

The Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, expressed gratitude for the governor's gesture, highlighting the commitment to strengthening traditional institutions.
