Bauchi Governor Opens PEBEC Business Reform Workshop

On Wednesday, the PEBEC Nationwide Sub-national Engagement and Technical Reform Workshop was officially opened by Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Mohammed, represented by Deputy Auwal Jatau, at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Conference Center in Bauchi. The workshop's theme focused on business enabling reforms to attract investment and promote competitiveness among local entrepreneurs, including women and youth.

Governor Mohammed emphasized the importance of creating a conducive business environment through initiatives such as the Bauchi State Business Enabling Reform Zone, which aims to harmonize taxes and eliminate multiple taxation. He also discussed the launch of the Ease of Doing Business Charter and the establishment of a one-stop center for investors.

The governor outlined the state's commitment to improving service delivery and fostering sustainable development, while also thanking the federal government and private sector for their support. Hajiya Amina M.

Katagum and Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu also contributed to the discussions, highlighting the need for collaboration to enhance service delivery.
