Bauchi Gov Signs Landmark MOU With China, Appoints Chinese National as Economic Adviser

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdukadir Mohammed, recently appointed Chinese national Li Zhensheng as Economic Adviser to the state government. This appointment follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the China Global Promotion Cooperation Research Centre.

The MOU aims to position Bauchi as a hub for international cooperation and accelerate investment in various sectors such as agriculture, education, healthcare, manufacturing, mining, oil, gas, and trade facilitation. The agreement outlines a framework for cooperation and specific project agreements will be developed based on this.

Governor Mohammed highlighted that this partnership aligns with the diplomatic framework between President Xi Jinping of China and President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria. Zhensheng, Chairman of the China Global Promotion Cooperation Research Centre, expressed commitment to supporting Bauchi's economic transformation and enhancing its global visibility through sustainable growth and modern infrastructure development.
