Wike Confirms Bauchi Governor Stays in PDP, Backs Tinubu

Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers State, stated that Bala Mohammed, the current Governor of Bauchi, will not defect to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) but will continue to support the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and work for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Wike made this announcement during a media parley held on Friday, addressing recent political alliances ahead of future elections.

He reiterated that Mohammed had previously expressed his intention to stay with the PDP and not join the ADC. Wike also highlighted a strained relationship between Mohammed and Atiku Abubakar, indicating that they were not on good terms for collaboration.

He maintained his long-held stance on power rotation and emphasized that individuals should not expect equal political rewards without contributing to the party's struggles. Wike noted that the PDP remains open to welcoming back members who had previously left, asserting that internal conflicts should not hinder the party's progress.
