Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed to Join ADC from PDP

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has announced his intention to leave the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This decision comes amid ongoing internal conflicts within the PDP, which Mohammed described as "headless" and unable to reconcile differences.

During a meeting with an ADC delegation led by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Babachir David Lawal, Mohammed expressed his dissatisfaction with the PDP's current state and the need for a viable opposition to challenge the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 general elections. ADC's national chairman, Senator David Mark, has already extended an invitation to Mohammed to join their party.

Lawal emphasized the importance of unity among opposition parties to prevent the APC from continuing in power beyond 2027, warning of potential disaster if the current government remains unchallenged.
