Bauchi Governor Urges Security Forces to Intensify Crackdown

Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Abdukadir Mohammed has ordered security agencies to intensify joint operations against criminal elements in response to renewed threats to lives and property. During a Bauchi State Security Council meeting on Thursday, he praised the successful military operations against terrorists in Alkaleri Local Government Area, calling it a significant breakthrough in combating insecurity.

Governor Mohammed instructed security forces to replicate these successes in other local government areas, including Ningi, Ganjuwa, and Toro, through increased patrols and dismantling of criminal hideouts. He warned traditional rulers against aiding criminals and emphasized that offenders would face legal consequences.

The governor reaffirmed the state’s commitment to enhancing security through improved logistics and collaboration with communities. He commended the Nigerian Army, Police, DSS, NSCDC, and other security operatives for their efforts, particularly highlighting operations that dislodged terrorists from Mansur Village, allowing displaced residents to return home.

Mohammed expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and security leaders for their support.
