Bauchi SUBEB Tasks Communities On School Enrolment

Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed, urged communities to prioritize school enrollment during the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) program in Bauchi. He expressed concerns about the quality of teaching and emphasized the need for qualified teachers to handle learners at every stage of education.

UNICEF Chief Field Office in Bauchi, Mrs. Nuzat Rafiq, highlighted TaRL as an effective global education strategy and stressed the community's role in ensuring every child has access to education.

The TaRL initiative was first piloted in Alkaleri local government area, benefiting 190 schools and 290 government teachers. Various stakeholders, including UBEC and the state government, reaffirmed their commitment to promoting education and improving teacher recruitment processes.

The Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, also pledged support for enhancing the education sector in the state.
