Bayelsa Athletes Confident of Retaining Niger Delta Games Crown

Bayelsa State athletes are gearing up to defend their title at the Niger Delta Games, aiming to maintain their top position on the medal table. The state emerged as a surprise winner in the previous edition, edging out Delta State for the gold medal count.

Athletes from Bayelsa are currently in training in Yenagoa, the state capital, and are determined to excel in the games scheduled for February 20-27. Wrestler Emmanuel Okik and basketball player Gonibo Jessica are confident in their team's preparedness and optimistic about their chances of success.
