Bayelsa Commissioner Michael Magbisa Joins NDC from APC

On Wednesday, Michael Magbisa, the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Special Duties, officially defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). This transition was marked by an event where he received a warm welcome from the Bayelsa State Chairman of the NDC, Dauprebo Ikuromo, along with other members of the state executive.

Former Bayelsa Governor and NDC leader, Seriake Dickson, praised Magbisa's decision, highlighting it as a reflection of the growing trust in the NDC. Dickson noted that similar political movements are occurring across the country, with hopes that the NDC will be well-prepared to compete strongly in the 2027 general elections.

He also mentioned a recent meeting with party members and leaders from various regions, including Chief Barnaba Ejisi, the NDC's National Vice Chairman for the North Central Zone. Additionally, other politicians from different parties, such as Dr.

Sidi Abdul and Philip Johnson, have also joined the NDC, indicating a rising interest in the party nationwide.
