During President Bola Tinubu's visit to Bayelsa State on Friday, a clash occurred between Navy personnel and soldiers, leading to the arrest of the involved personnel. The incident, which has since gone viral, was captured in a 53-second video showing a naval police officer stepping out of a vehicle and exchanging words with a soldier. The situation escalated when a soldier, armed with a rifle, approached and threw a punch at the naval officer, resulting in a chaotic brawl that left civilians in disbelief. The clash took place as the President was leaving the venue of an official event. As of the time of reporting, the cause of the altercation had not been determined. Captain Abi Folorunso, the Director of Naval Information, confirmed that the personnel involved have been taken into custody and are undergoing appropriate disciplinary procedures in accordance with military regulations.
