Benue Assembly passes vote of confidence on Governor Alia, Speaker

The Benue State House Assembly has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia and Speaker Hyacinth Dajoh. The decision was made during a plenary session presided over by Speaker Rt Hon Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh.

The motion for the vote of confidence was moved by Douglas Akya, representing Makurdi South State Constituency, who highlighted the Governor's commitment to upholding the rule of law and collaborating with the Assembly. The House commended the Speaker for his exceptional leadership, which has enabled the smooth running of the Assembly.

The Assembly also condemned attempts to undermine the leadership by instigating moves to impeach the Speaker without cause. The vote of confidence reaffirms the Assembly's support for the Governor and Speaker, rejecting any interference in the internal workings of the Assembly.
