Benue CP Orders Enhanced Security for Eid El Kabir

The Benue State Commissioner of Police, Ifeanyi Emenari, has directed the Benue State Command to enhance security measures through intensified patrols along major highways, worship centers, recreational facilities, and vulnerable points throughout the state. This directive comes as the Muslim community prepares to celebrate Eid El Kabir, which coincides with Children's Day.

Emenari emphasized the need for visible police presence to ensure the safety of residents and visitors during the festive period. A statement issued by the command's spokesperson, DSP Udem Edet, highlighted the usual large gatherings associated with these celebrations.

The Commissioner assured parents and guardians that adequate measures would be in place to protect children during the celebrations. He also warned against criminal elements and hoodlums, stating that security agencies are fully prepared to respond decisively to any attempts to disrupt public peace.

Emenari advised the public to remain security-conscious and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
