Lagos Police Enhance Security for Eid-el-Kabir Celebrations

The Lagos State Police Command has announced enhanced security measures in preparation for the Eid-el-Kabir and Children’s Day celebrations. Police Commissioner Mr.

Fatai Tijani disclosed that there will be a large-scale deployment of personnel to strategic locations across Lagos State. This deployment follows directives from Inspector General of Police Mr.

Olatunji Disu, aiming to ensure adequate protection at Eid prayer grounds, recreational centers, and other vulnerable locations during the festive period. The police will operate at worship centers, highways, motor parks, and critical infrastructure, with a focus on safeguarding lives and property.

Tijani instructed officers to ensure effective crowd control and smooth traffic management, reinforcing security around entry and exit points in major city centers. He urged officers to remain professional and courteous while carrying out their duties.

Additionally, Tijani advised children and young people to avoid violence and criminal activities, encouraging them to embrace positive values and remain security-conscious during this time.
