Benue Ex-Gov Gabriel Suswam Resigns from PDP, Cites Internal Crises

Former Benue State Governor Gabriel Suswam has officially resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in a letter dated February 4. Suswam attributed his resignation to the unending internal crises within the opposition party.

He expressed his intention to step aside and align with a coalition opposition group, adopting the African Democratic Congress (ADC) platform for his future political endeavors. Suswam, who failed to state the next political party he would align with, emphasized the need for the opposition to find a consensus to resolve long-standing issues.

His decision comes amidst the political landscape gearing up for the next election cycle in Nigeria.
