Benue Governor Alia Orders Appointees to Resign by March 30

Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has issued a directive requiring all appointees who intend to contest for elective positions in the upcoming 2027 general elections to resign from their current roles by March 30. This announcement was conveyed through a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, and made available to journalists in Makurdi on Friday.

Governor Alia emphasized his administration's commitment to sustaining the momentum of development in the state and expressed a desire to avoid any delays that could hinder progress. He encouraged those intending to resign to formally submit their resignation letters to facilitate the appointment of replacements, ensuring that the developmental initiatives continue without interruption.
