Benue Group Decries Collapse of Public Schools in Gwer West LGA Due to Insecurity

The Tyoshin Strategic Group (TSG) in Benue State has raised alarm over the collapse of public primary and secondary schools in Gwer West LGA, attributing it to persistent attacks by herdsmen. Dr.

Felix Atum, the group leader, voiced concerns during a meeting with the LGA council chairman, Hon. Victor Torsaa Ormin Naka.

The group highlighted the increasing number of school children daily due to the continuous collapse of public schools and proposed converting schools in affected areas into mega schools to accommodate the rising number of pupils. Immediate intervention is sought to address the escalating insecurity and displacement affecting the education sector in the region.
