Benue Investigates Suspected Mpox Case in Konshisha

The Benue State Ministry of Health and Human Services is investigating a suspected case of Mpox reported in Konshisha Local Government Area. Health Commissioner Dr.
Paul Ogwuche disclosed this information in a statement on Saturday, following reports of a suspected case at the residence of Tyokula Achihi. Upon receiving the report, the ministry activated its surveillance system and dispatched a team to the area for assessment and sample collection.
Dr. Ogwuche emphasized that skin rashes and fever can stem from various medical conditions, and laboratory confirmation is essential for a proper diagnosis of Mpox.
