Benue Governor Alia Thanks President Tinubu for Support

Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia of Benue State publicly expressed appreciation for the support provided by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in tackling insecurity within the state. During a welcome ceremony for a new set of security personnel deployed on Monday, Governor Alia conveyed satisfaction with the level of assistance received from the President, especially during the current challenging situation.

He emphasized the importance of restoring peace in Benue State, which is known as the food basket of the nation. Alia acknowledged the efforts of security agencies, particularly noting the recent rescue of nine children in Utonkon, and urged them to maintain their commitment until the state is free from insecurity.

He also highlighted the need for adequate security for workers involved in the construction of the Nyihemba-Aband road, which is crucial for improving movement and response times to distress calls. Furthermore, he reaffirmed his commitment to good governance and encouraged the people of Benue to support the upcoming APC congress.
