Tinubu's Aide Assures Peace Restoration in Benue Communities

On a visit to Kwand Local Government Area in Benue State, Dr. Abiodun Essiet, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement in North Central, assured residents of the federal government's commitment to restoring peace in troubled communities.

This visit followed recent attacks in the area, which raised security concerns. Essiet highlighted that the federal government is aware of the security challenges and has already taken steps to address the situation, including strengthening security responses.

She emphasized the neutrality of the Nigerian Army in protecting lives and properties. Additionally, Essiet addressed issues surrounding the management of natural resources and assured residents that appropriate ministries would ensure better collaboration between federal and state authorities.

She urged residents to maintain open communication with government representatives. The visit also addressed concerns regarding illegal mining activities exacerbating insecurity, with calls for a suspension of mining operations until peace is fully restored.
