Ochigbo Calls for Action on Otukpo Killings in Benue

Hon. Mathew Ochigbo, the governorship candidate for the National Democratic Party (NDP) in Benue State, condemned the recent killings in the Otukpo Local Government Area, describing the attacks as heartbreaking and unacceptable.

In a statement, Ochigbo expressed sympathy for the families of the victims and stated that the continuous loss of innocent lives is intolerable. He urged the perpetrators to desist from violence and insisted that such attacks would not deter the resolve of the people.

Ochigbo called on the government to take immediate decisive action to ensure the security of the community and to arrest those responsible for the killings. He promised that security would be a top priority for his administration, pledging to make every village, market, and home in Otukpo safe.

Additionally, he emphasized the need for investment in youth employment and support for farmers to address the root causes of violence. Ochigbo appealed to the residents of Otukpo to remain hopeful and assured them of solidarity during this difficult period.
