Benue PDP Candidate Aondoakaa Condemns Recent Killings

Michael Aondoakaa, the governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 Benue State governorship election, condemned the recent wave of attacks in the state that have led to the killing of innocent people and the displacement of thousands. In a statement issued to the media on Wednesday, Aondoakaa referenced the killing of Ardo Muhammad, the Benue State chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, which resulted in the deaths of several individuals in Mbajir Ward, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area.

He described the incidents as reprehensible and unacceptable, urging security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators. Aondoakaa expressed deep sorrow over the massacres and highlighted the worsening security situation in Benue State.

He called on the state government to take proactive measures to ensure the safety of citizens, criticizing the lack of a coordinated response to the ongoing attacks despite available resources. He emphasized the need for greater commitment and collaboration in the fight against insecurity.
