Police Arrest Two Suspects in Corps Member's Death

The Benue State Police have arrested two suspects, Terkimbi Abumswend and Joshua Adagim, in relation to the death of a corps member, following an incident that occurred around 11 PM on Sunday near the major settlement close to the Buruku Local Government Secretariat. The deceased was reportedly attacked by a group of hoodlums who accused him of stealing a motorcycle.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the motorcycle belonged to the deceased, and the allegations against him were allegedly based on false documentation. DSP Edet Udem, the police spokesperson, confirmed the arrests during a telephone interview with journalists in Makurdi.

He stated that efforts are ongoing to apprehend additional suspects who are currently at large. Udem assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted to ensure that all individuals involved are brought to justice.
