Benue State Shuts Down 12 Illegal Health Facilities

The Benue State Ministry of Health and Human Services has shut down 12 illegal hospitals and clinics in Buruku, Ushongo, and Kwande Local Government Areas. The enforcement team, led by Permanent Secretary Beatrice AondoNguemo Tsavmbu, closed facilities like Ella Community Health Centre and De Poloo Community Health Centre for operating without licenses and failing to meet health regulations.

The crackdown aims to eliminate medical quackery and protect residents from unsafe healthcare practices. The government warned against patronizing unlicensed facilities, emphasizing the importance of complying with state health standards to ensure public safety.
