NAFDAC Warns Nigerians of Fake Condoms in Markets, Citing Health Risks

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued a warning to Nigerians regarding the sale and distribution of counterfeit Kiss condoms in markets nationwide. The fake condoms were discovered in markets such as Onitsha, Idumota, Trade Fair, Kano, Abuja, Uyo, Gombe, Enugu, among others.

NAFDAC emphasized that these fake condoms undermine their protective purpose, increasing the risk of unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections due to poor quality and lack of sterilization. The agency advised the public to ensure the safety of genuine and quality-assured condoms approved by manufacturers.
