AeroWest 2026 to Boost Caribbean-West Africa Tourism

AeroWest 2026 is a summit scheduled for September 2-4, 2026, in Lagos, aimed at improving air connectivity and tourism between the Caribbean and West Africa. It will address challenges such as inadequate air connectivity, high travel costs, and fragmented markets.

A key feature will be the introduction of the Caribbean–West Africa Tourism Corridor, which will explore cultural and historical ties through a session titled “Culture & Heritage: The Barbados–West Africa Link.” This session will focus on transforming shared heritage into marketable tourism products. The summit will gather over 300 leaders from aviation, tourism, finance, and investment sectors, including airline executives, tourism ministers, and private-sector stakeholders.

Ola Wright, Chief Executive Officer of WATO, emphasized the need for practical solutions to enhance connectivity as an economic strategy. The event aims to foster partnerships and investment opportunities that can stimulate both aviation and tourism sectors.
