Boko Haram Displays Abducted Victims in Borno Video

A faction of Boko Haram, Jama'atu Ahlis Sunnah Lidda'awati Wal Jihad, released a video featuring 416 abducted victims from Ngosh in Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State. The video, obtained by the Borno South Youth Alliance, shows the victims, primarily women and children, in good health and not subjected to torture or sexual harassment.

The spokesperson for the group, who remained unidentified, stated that the victims were treated well and received medical care. The video was intended to assure the families of the victims and to call for government intervention.

The Borno South Youth Alliance confirmed the number of victims and emphasized the need for urgent humanitarian assistance. They urged Nigerian leaders, including President Bola Tinubu and other officials, to prioritize the safety and freedom of the abducted individuals.

The group also highlighted the importance of international support in rescuing the victims and addressing the ongoing insecurity in the region.
