Bishop Oluyamo Praises Tinubu, Calls for Action on Insecurity

Rt. Rev. Isaac Oluyamo, the Bishop of Ijesa North Diocese of the Anglican Communion in Osun State, commended President Bola Tinubu for his efforts in steering the country amidst prevailing economic challenges.

During the third session of the fifth synod held at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Esa-Oke, Oluyamo urged the federal government to intensify efforts to tackle insecurity, warning that persistent killings and kidnappings threaten national stability and economic growth. He encouraged Nigerian youth to explore opportunities in modern agriculture and animal husbandry as viable pathways to self-reliance and food security.

Oluyamo congratulated the government and people of Ekiti State for the successful conduct of recent gubernatorial elections and expressed hope for peaceful and credible elections in Osun State for the 2027 general elections. He called on Nigerians to actively participate in the democratic process and urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to uphold fairness and transparency in its duties.

Oluyamo condemned ongoing criminal activities and prayed for divine intervention to help the country overcome its challenges.
