Adeboye Praises Tinubu's Security Response in Washington

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, praised President Bola Tinubu's handling of Nigeria's worsening security crisis at the Nigeria Faith Hero Award Gala in Washington. Adeboye defended Tinubu against public criticism regarding the administration's failure to effectively tackle insecurity.

He stated that it is unrealistic for citizens to expect the president to engage physically in combat against criminals, highlighting that even global leaders do not directly participate in military strategies. Adeboye expressed concern over the spread of terrorism, kidnapping, and violent crime across Nigeria, noting discussions he had with President Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu about security issues.

He advised the president to hold security chiefs accountable and set a 90-day deadline for military commanders to eliminate terrorist activities. Adeboye also called for a focus on the root causes of violence and urged the federal government to target the financial backers of terrorism, including wealthy businessmen and politicians.
