TCN Prevents Blackout by Foiling Vandalism of Transmission Lines, Suspect Arrested

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) averted a blackout by foiling the vandalism of transmission lines, ensuring continued power delivery. TCN's General Manager of Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, revealed that a vandal attempted to compromise a transmission tower, but swift action by security agencies led to the suspect's arrest.

Emergency reinforcement work was initiated to maintain the structural integrity of the affected tower and prevent power disruptions. The suspect, believed to be a potential buyer of the vandalized materials, is currently in police custody in Saminaka, Kaduna State.

TCN commended the security operatives and the community for their vigilance in protecting Nigeria's transmission infrastructure.
