Vandals Cause Blackout in Borno and Yobe States, TCN Working on Restoration

Vandals attacked a 330kV transmission tower along the Gombi-Damaturu line in Borno and Yobe states, leading to a blackout in major parts of the two states. The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) confirmed the incident and is working to repair the damaged tower to restore normal transmission.

The Yola Electricity Distribution Company is providing temporary power supply to affected areas. The vandalism is condemned as a deliberate sabotage against national development, urging the public to report suspicious activities around power infrastructure.
