Blessing CEO Faces Court Over Alleged N69.15m Fraud

In the ongoing trial of social media influencer Blessing Okoro, also known as Blessing CEO, a prosecution witness, Dr Onuoha Okeigwe, testified in the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja that he paid N69.15 million for a property after Blessing CEO falsely claimed ownership. Okeigwe, the first prosecution witness, stated that Blessing CEO represented herself as the owner through WhatsApp messages and in-person interactions.
He maintained that he had sufficient evidence, including WhatsApp messages and documents from the Corporate Affairs Commission, to support his claims. Okeigwe, a chiropractic doctor, clarified that he was not a lawyer and did not fully understand legal terminology.
He also mentioned that he had filed a separate civil suit against Blessing CEO to recover over N100 million spent on renovations for a medical facility he intended to establish at the property. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arraigned Blessing CEO on June 9, 2026, on charges of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing, to which she pleaded not guilty.
The case is adjourned until January 12, 2027.
