Blueprint Awards Inspire National Development Efforts

At the 2025 Blueprint Newspapers Awards held on Tuesday in Abuja at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Salisu Umar, the Managing Director/CEO of Blueprint Newspapers Ltd, encouraged award recipients to use their recognition as motivation for further contributions to national development. The awards honored various leaders, including Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and several state governors such as Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu, Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, Agbu Kefas of Taraba, Umar Namadi of Jigawa, and Prince Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River.

Other notable awardees included former governors and key political figures. The annual event, initiated in 2018, aims to foster discussions on national issues and recognize exemplary leadership.

This year’s lecture theme, “Security Challenges and Integrity of Nigeria’s 2027 Elections,” was set to be delivered by General Christopher Gwabin Musa, focusing on the interplay between national security and electoral integrity.
