Yilwatda Named 2025 Blueprint Person of the Year

Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was honored as the 2025 Blueprint Newspapers Person of the Year. The announcement was made by Salisu Umar, Managing Director and CEO of Blueprint Newspapers, during the Annual Public Lecture, Impact Series, and Awards Ceremony held on Tuesday in Abuja at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre.

Umar praised Yilwatda's leadership for its inclusive and result-oriented approach, which has focused on promoting internal cohesion and strengthening party structures. Other award recipients included various state governors such as Peter Mbah of Enugu, Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, Agbu Kefas of Taraba, Umar Namadi of Jigawa, and Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River.

Former governors and notable figures like Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar, James Faleke, and Olayemi Cardoso were also recognized. Umar encouraged the awardees to use this recognition to enhance their contributions to national development.

The event also featured discussions on national security threats affecting the electoral process.
