BNXN Discusses NBA Wealth Gap, Teases New Album

During a recent livestream, Nigerian afrobeat singer Daniel Benson, popularly known as BNXN, discussed the wealth disparity between NBA players and Nigerian musicians, asserting that NBA players earn much more. He did not name specific NBA players but referenced his experiences with friends in the league, highlighting the significant wealth gap.

BNXN also teased details about his upcoming album, which he plans to record across Nigeria and Ghana, although he did not provide a release date or further specifics about the project. BNXN, formerly known as Buju, rebranded in 2022 to avoid confusion with Jamaican artist Buju Banton.

His second studio album, titled "Captain," is set to be released on July 3, 2025, featuring 16 tracks and guest appearances from artists such as Seyi Vibez, Rema, and Victony. The album explores themes of self-realization and artist growth, blending afrobeat, neo-soul, and amapiano influences.
