NSCDC, NIS, NCoS Recruitment Postponement Claims Dismissed

The board associated with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) has officially disowned a fake press release that circulated online, claiming that the recruitment exercise for 2026 had been postponed. The board clarified that the notice, which was purportedly issued by the NSCDC's office, was counterfeit and urged prospective applicants and the general public to disregard it.

The false notice suggested that applicants would have to wait until November 2026 for further details and warned against paying fees to individuals or groups promising early access. The NSCDC emphasized that the official recruitment portal is cdcfib.gov.ng.

Furthermore, the board announced that successful applicants from the November 2025 recruitment will proceed to the next stage, which includes a medical screening exercise scheduled to commence on June 22, 2026. The recruitment exercise covers positions in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, and the Federal Fire Service.
