Bode George Calls for Punishment of Anti-Party Members

Bode George, a prominent chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has insisted on the necessity of punishing members who engage in anti-party activities, even as the party seeks reconciliation with the faction led by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This statement comes amid reports that the PDP is moving towards reconciliation, following advice from the Ibadan Appeal Court.

The faction led by Kabiru Turaki has expressed a commitment to adhere to this reconciliation process. In an interview aired on Thursday, George reflected on the ongoing turmoil within the PDP and confirmed that the party would take action against those who have clearly violated its rules, despite the reconciliation efforts.

He underscored the importance of maintaining party discipline as the PDP prepares for the upcoming 2027 elections.
