Umahi Advocates Tinubu's Reelection for Bodo-Bonny Road

Engr David Nweze Umahi, the Minister of Works, has called on the people of the Bodo-Bonny community to rally around President Bola Tinubu for his reelection in 2027 to facilitate the completion of Phase 2 of the Bodo-Bonny Road project. This project, spanning 37.9 kilometers, is crucial for connecting Bonny Island to the mainland and reducing reliance on water transport.

Speaking in Abuja during the Medallion Award presentation by the Bodo-Bonny Road Bridge Peace Committee, Umahi emphasized the importance of quality road infrastructure in strengthening national connectivity. He confirmed that President Tinubu has approved the commencement of Phase 2, with work set to begin immediately.

Umahi highlighted the project's historical significance, noting that it has been a long-standing aspiration for the community, and urged all stakeholders to cooperate to overcome previous challenges. He expressed confidence that under Tinubu's leadership, the project will continue to foster economic opportunities and enhance safety in the region.
