BOI Donates 30-Room Hostel to Nnewi Teaching Hospital

The Bank of Industry (BOI) formally handed over a newly built 30-room hostel block to the Nnewi Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives. Dr.

Olasupo Olusi, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BOI, expressed delight in the project's completion, emphasizing its role in enhancing student welfare and healthcare services. The hostel aims to provide a secure and dignified living environment for medical students, allowing them to focus on their training and responsibilities.

Prof. Stanlei Anyanwu, Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, acknowledged that the project significantly reduces student accommodation needs and reflects a broader national priority to improve access to healthcare education.

The Chief Medical Director of NAUTH, Prof. Joe Ugboaja, noted the project's contribution to the institution's infrastructure and human capital development.

Additionally, Chief Caleb Okek donated land for the permanent site of NAUTH, further supporting the community's educational and healthcare initiatives.
