Boko Haram Attack in Adamawa Kills Soldiers and Civilians

On February 21, a Boko Haram insurgent attack targeted a military camp located in Garaha District, Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State. The assault led to the deaths of three soldiers and a civilian woman, who was shot while attempting to escape.

The attack occurred late in the morning and involved sporadic gunfire that caught military personnel off guard. Despite the surprise, soldiers attempted to fight back but were overwhelmed, resulting in the insurgents gaining the upper hand.

The attackers set fire to the entire military camp and also razed a primary school in the vicinity. Local government chairman Usman Aliyu and paramount ruler Tol Alheri Nyako confirmed the details of the attack.

The military did not respond to inquiries regarding the incident, which is part of a series of similar assaults in the Hong Local Government Area in recent months.
