Normalcy Returns to Adamawa After Military Camp Attack

Normalcy has reportedly returned to Adamawa State after an attack on a military camp in the Garaha Mojilli Community. Hon. Usman Inuwa, the Executive Chairman of Hong Local Government Area, discussed the situation in a phone interview with Daily Trust in Yola on Monday.

He explained that following the unfortunate incident, which occurred on Saturday night, relief items were distributed to affected individuals in the community. The attack involved Boko Haram insurgents, resulting in the deaths of three soldiers and a civilian woman, while several insurgents were neutralized, and others fled due to gunfire.

Inuwa emphasized the need for the federal and state governments to adopt security strategies to address the ongoing challenges in the state, advocating for military air and ground intervention. He called for community vigilance and the importance of informing authorities about potential threats, appealing for a proactive military approach to prevent future attacks.
