Boko Haram Terrorists Kill 15 Farmers in Borno State
Suspected Boko Haram terrorists reportedly killed 15 farmers in the Ala and Musune wards of Marte Local Government Area in Borno State. The ambush occurred on Wednesday evening while the victims were engaged in their daily farming activities.
Out of the 18 farmers who went to the fields, only 15 bodies were recovered and buried on Thursday, with three individuals still unaccounted for. Nahum Daso, the Public Relations Officer of the Borno State Police Command, confirmed the incident on Friday, stating that efforts are ongoing to ascertain the whereabouts of the missing persons.
He noted that details of the attack remain sketchy and that updates will be provided as information is gathered. Sources indicated that the victims, including young men, married men, and elders, were bound, forced to lie down, and executed at close range, with some reportedly decapitated.
Community members retrieved the bodies for burial according to Islamic rites.
