Wike Urges EU Nations to Boost Investment in Abuja

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, called on European Union nations to deepen their investment in Abuja during a meeting with EU diplomats at the EU House in Abuja on Tuesday. He emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural exchange and expanding partnerships to promote economic growth in the Federal Capital Territory.

Wike outlined key areas for investment, including urban and rural development, infrastructure expansion, security, education, health, and social welfare. He disclosed plans for the construction of 12 new fully equipped police headquarters across six area councils in the FCT to enhance security.

Wike also discussed Nigeria's electoral reforms aimed at strengthening democratic credibility and the need for a stable political environment. He noted that the current administration under President Bola Tinubu is committed to implementing bold economic reforms to improve citizen welfare and eliminate corruption-prone systems.
