Abia State Launches MCIPP Program to Boost Fashion MSME Competitiveness

Abia State recently introduced the MCIPP program to enhance the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the fashion industry. The initiative, led by Governor Otti, focuses on merging skills, entrepreneurship, and access pathways to create sustainable livelihoods.

The program targets the fashion manufacturing sector in Abia State, known for its creative craftsmanship but facing challenges. The launch event brought together various stakeholders, including Ethnocentriq, BDSPs, and government representatives, emphasizing the importance of supporting MSMEs.

Partners such as WIPO and the Nigeria Copyright Commission commended the initiative for its potential to set new standards in skill delivery and SME product inclusivity. Ethnocentriq's CEO highlighted the program as a significant step towards Nigeria's industrial future, showcasing the power of public-private partnerships in driving economic growth and empowering vulnerable groups in the industry.
