Babagana Buhari Wins ADC Gubernatorial Primary in Borno

Babagana Buhari has been declared the winner of the ADC gubernatorial primary in Borno State, having received 71,867 votes. The announcement was made by Adamu Mustapha on Monday night.

The primary election recorded a total of 102,900 registered voters, with 85,567 voters accredited and 74,933 valid votes counted. Buhari's closest competitors were Sanusi Kashim Ibrahim, who garnered 1,033 votes, and Attom Muhammad Magira, who received 4,033 votes.

The results were declared in accordance with the powers vested in the ADC's constitution and regulations. Additionally, the ADC plans to field three consensus candidates for the senatorial seats in Borno Central, South, and North, with Baba Gana Zanna contesting Borno Central, Idri Mamman for Borno South, and Bulama Fugu Ibrahim for Borno North.

Muham Bolori, the ADC Borno Secretary, expressed confidence in the party's electoral success.
